Hitachi 81/290E and 9150E

Hi all been away a while busy with life but iv got some spare time coming up sooo.

I need some help with my hitachis, my 8190E is pretty much sorted bar the tape deck which clearly needs new belts but the pause and sleep timer buttons are doing some strange things.
Basically they both work each other simultaneously so it's not right.

Secondly my 8290E only has sound from RH side plus the usual dead tape deck.

Thirdly my newly acquired 9150E has no LH tweeter sound and a dead tape deck.

And fourthly I can't for some reason get my din inputs to work on any of my boxes (sharp gf 9090&9191) included and advice?

It's a standard 3.5 jack to 5pin din plug but nothing out the speakers on all boxes unless both devices are @ full whack and even then it's a whisper.

Hey Xander, you are asking for help on multiple boombox in one post. It would be better to start a help topic for each individual model.

I have tried the search I can find very scarce information, thanks for the heads up on the din input I'll read up on that later.

To be honest I figured the problem was a generic one across the range, I have heard that perhaps the band selector may be the issue with regards to sound out of the speakers but I haven't a clue I'm a newbie.

Ah iv already read that topic, doesn't really help in the sense that the hitachis have a designated line in switch on the input selector and they still don't work right, I was expecting the same level of sound from it as the tape/radio or is this not possible?
