OK Boomboxery, the world famous Hip Hop Trooper needs our help. I just finished a phone interview with him for Boombox Magazine and in the conversation we talked about his first radio, which actually belonged to his father. He described it as a Silver Pioneer with dual decks.

Does this ring a bell? Anyone got pictures?

Those looks pretty awkward to carry around... I tried searching briefly but those two were the only ones I really saw too.

Well if it's the W11 they are pretty rare, I have never seen one for sale. I will see what I can find out though.

Isn't it always this way....the one radio you had as a kid is that great white buffalo! I'm sure he could make due with a common C100 or something   We'll see.

Also, aren't this speakers know for being shredded?

Good luck finding one of those beautiful pioneer component systems. They weigh a ton and are built like tanks. Speaker foams are usually toast on those, but with a proper reform they sound awesome. Member prime had a bunch of these.
I think Freddie Oldschool has one as well if I'm not mistaken
