Hello everyone! I'm happy that there is a discussion board for this most glorious of all inventions: the boombox.
I've been using my JVC RV-B 55 for more than 9 years now and it still works flawlessly, day by day.
My dad's got a Telefunken Hifi Studio 1. Also quite a kick-ass system and despite its age, it still rocks!
Recently, I got my hands on an RV-B 90 and I can't wait to hear its 'boom', however, there's an awful lot wrong with it and hopefully, someone here can help me out... I already disassembled it and as it seems, a corroded (hence missing) pin of a micro controller on the PCB located under the CD drive is responsible for the unit not powering up.
I know chances are very slim, but probably someone is parting out their (broken) RV-B 90?
Anyway, I'll start reading now, as always when registering with a new forum.
Have a nice sunday evening!
Cheers
