Hello, recently discovered this forum after having acquired a teenage dream, which at the time was way to expensive to become a reality, a Sony FH-7 (mk1) in a bit of a pittyful state allthough complete and fully original. Took a few saturday afternoons, a looooooot of patience, and bringing back memories (had a few years of electronical education some years (decades) ago... but thanks to this forum it has now come back to life and is fully operational. I m not much of a collector like many of you seem to be here, more of a nostalgia-thing.
Anyways thanks for existing !

Hi. Very nice system. I have a red mk2, also with a turntable. A real feast for the eyes and ears ...

Hello, thank you, quite happy with it (even more so now I ve gotten its turntable).

I understand you ré happy with your RED one, they ré very rare!

Yes, my cassette player is still waiting for the belts to be replaced, so I'm in no hurry to do so.

You might want to have a look at the thread on "Sony fh-7 belts and thoughts" on this forum. I found it extremely helpful to replace the belts on mine. Although it takes quite a lot of patience and swear-words.. Especially for the capstan belt lol
