Hello!

I'm 19, and from Denmark.

Even though i'm not being a child of the eighties, i still fell like it was a better decade than the pretty mixed up nineteens ;-)

My collection of portables started about 2 years ago, it was a small Sony CF-515S. Now i have 34 boxes :-D

Ira, you forget that eBay Germany is a boombox collector's paradise and shipping is inexpensive over there. :yes:

Welcome.

The true measure of any collector is whether they can accumulate at least as many boomboxes as their age. RBJ has hundreds. You can guess his age. ;-)

well, here in Denmark, you can find alot of nice boxes, by going into various bikeshops, autoyards etc. Usually get them for free, or trade for a new radio, all they care about, is that they can listen to the same radiostation that they've done for the past 25 years.

Also i go to a lot of fleamarkets... There is little competition, therefore the prices are very low.

are jealous about the variety --the prices --and the availability of great boxes
you guys can accumulate over there -
