New to the board, old to music. Read a bunch here and decided to join as I'm a music addict and love the sound from the 80's audio equipment. Was a dj in the 80's and still have all my records, turntables and other stuff. I posted here recently because I have a panasonic RX5250 that was the same model we used back then and just purchased another one for parts. Now they both sorts work and I am currently working on them through some advice on this forum. Having fun so far, cheers!

Welcome!! I really loved some of the areas of SJ and OSJ we were able to visit. It hold a place in my life that I won't forget and I love a good dive bar, so as you probably know El Batey is a favorite! I made can koozies with the El Batey font on them and brought 50 of them to give to the bartender. Told her to give them away to their regulars since they didn't have any for sale the last time I was there. I signed the crapper door with a heart around Joe Dirt and they put our christmas card up on the mirror behind the bar.

Nice!! I've never been able to find a 5250 in the wild. If it sounds anything like my RX-5150, it's a great boombox.
