Thought I'd make a quick introduction here. I was an active member on s2g a few years back, kind of drifted away but always loved the boom boxes! Just recently started going through my collection, deciding what to keep, or sell, or acquire, and that's got me doing some research and getting my head back into "collector" mindset.

Collection is currently 19 boxes. Notables include 2 JVC PC-55s, 4 GF777s, a GF1000, an M70, two Bombeats, Conion C100, Fisher 492, a Panasonic DT680 and C45, a kaboom, etc. Really, really looking for a nice big Sony FH or two to round this out - I can still remember drooling over the FH boxes my last year of high school - 1986! (Ended up getting a PC550 at that time, since the store was out of Sony!)

I live in beautiful Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada with my seven-pound boombox watchdog, Charlie. Currently working in public relations.

Anyway, that's me. Like I said, looking for a good Sony FH or two, so if you're considering selling or trading, lemme know! I'll also be selling a couple of my boxes soon, and I'm currently parting out a GF777 (I don't have enough posts to put that in the for sale section, so mentioning it here).

Cheers

Thanks blu-fuz!

Redbenjoe, I remember your name from s2g as well...good to see familiar people on this new forum! I was looking at peppin's FH but decided to rule it out - trying to keep the new additions to mint or near-mint boxes only. Love the look of those square woofers though - I know some people don't, but for me they do the trick. :w00t:

Fins!!!!!!! OMG! How is going for you these days? I was just going through some old avatars and such and came across the basset hound picture of mine you used. Do you still have that one? It would be nice to see it here.

Hey oldskool....thanks for the welcome!

Dawg!!!! Just put the avatar up! .I still chuckle every time I see that flying-eared dog enjoying JVC's finest. Some of your very best work, IMHO. See you've been busy the last few years...the new forum looks like a lot of fun. I hope to start contributing posts on a regular basis...reading through the messages this morning I realize how much I've missed this crazy hobby of collecting and preserving these beloved vintage boomers. Really nice to see some familiar people still actively involved, and I'm glad to be back around! :breakdance:

Welcome from down under :-D

Pretty immense collection happening there!!!

If you're parting up gf777 I need a piece!!! PM me if you can spare the chrome effect plastic that goes around the main speakers on the outside. Mine are peeling and I know they'll look pretty average if I spray them. :-D
