John from Cleveland. An old fart not far from the 60 category. Hanging out doing Oracle database geekery. Just purchased a sharp gx-m10 and pretty darn impressed with it ( now selling 149. at best buy ) it is big and orange and sounds darn good.
I saw several reviews etc here and information on it helped me make the buying decision so thanks everyone.
Sound is darn nice so far ( using Flat and ipod hooked up usb connection with eq turned to bass reducer ). This unit has exceptional bass and mid / highs sound pretty good to me but ( worrying ) why they do not have a separate tweeter. It has two drivers up front 3 1/8 full range 3 ohm ... but did see someone do a mod to put in tweeters.
Aside from a nice set of headphones the sound from this thing is better than anything else I have around ( sad but true ... ha ha ).
