Pretty simple hack. Now all you need is an external antenna connection on the TV box, the battery source is the only real variable since it doesn't hold it's own batteries.

the big unsolvable problemo is that digital signals
are not anywhere near the same league as the old analogues--

so - that even after lugging around the tv and the battery and the
converter box and the wires and the antenna

the antenna needs to be placed in ONE permanent spot -
facing just one perfect direction --
every time the antenna is moved at all --
the entire box has to be re-scanned :annoyed:

ie -- the entire rig is fun but useless -and we could not depend on it -
even for some emergency weather reports
or for an emergency super bowl

I imagine if you had the right size TV boombox, all the internals of the converter could be retro fitted inside the boombox itself.
