Help with this Soundesign model

I picked up a Soundesign 4859 boombox recently that is functional but needs a little work. For some reason I cannot find ANY information on this particular model. The only result I could find related to the 4859 was some odd estate sale listing from a while back but the page didn't have any more information other than one was going to be listed for auction.

Anyone know anything about this one? Compared to the more common models. Seems to have an 8 track not a cassette built in.

It's in great shape given the age, which I would assume to be very early 1980s, like 80-82 maybe? I do not see a date anywhere. I was hoping to pull the FCCID up to see when it was registered but that comes back with nothing in google.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds fantastic too! Listening to the radio right now. I swear this sounds better than anything cheap you would buy today at walmart today by far.

Nice box hard to work on. It sounds good because of the drivers would be like 100db new ones are 85db.

Ah cool. Yeah it's got some dings, haven't combed over it yet. The buttons for the cassette are bent, the door opens and closes but kinda wonks off to the side while doing so. Few small dents in the aluminum at the top, and the bottom outer part of the antenna is busted off and MIA. I also suspect one of the record level knobs is not the correct one, the left one specifically.
