Hi,

I am a happy owner of a Sharp GF 9191H since today.

I need to fix the cassette mechanism, if you have any tips you are welcome!

Welcome, there are many tricks to this box the Idler for the take up reel is a big job as there is a rubber grommet on the fly wheel shaft that must be replaced. Good luck.

Yes that rubber gromet totally melted and the rubber part next to it collected all the tar... I will be replacing both of them, the belts and the pinch roller. My biggest worry is to find the correct parts.

I have been looking on ebay I found the belts and pinch roller. But the closest thing I have found for the rubber gromet is this : https://www.ebay.com/itm/254923483910?hash=item3b5a9fab06:g:cDgAAOSw0BVelfR7
What do you think about it?

I would also like to clean all sliders, switches and potentiometers (one of the speakers is louder than the other and that might help?). From all the posts I read here Deoxit D5 seems to be the best product (Maybe not for sliders?). Am I correct?

I can't wait to make it work!
