Heart scare for me spent a couple of Days in Hospital.

I had a heart scare this week.Was talking to wife and suddenly got a jabbing pain to the lower chest and could barely stand.Took my blood pressure 184 over 124 my wife drove me to hospital and 3 under the tongue pills later ( nitroglycerin )and 1 heart patch pain went away .Was hospitalized for observation.EKG and stress test which I passed with flying colors.These little scares makes one think about what is really important in life God,Family and good friends in that order.I am very happy to be back on boomboxery where most of my very good friends are.

Whoa! Thank goodness you're okay, Nelson. Somebody out there must like you right where you are. :yes: Not to make light of your situation, but what a perfect excuse to kick back and listen to some tunes. :-D

Thanks guys I feel good.It may have been a cough medicine containing codeine that caused the heart to race.My doctor will run more test on Monday to be certain and may have to add codeine to an (allergic to list)I do exercise and eat well so it must have been something I took.


PS Bobby I did just that laid back and kicked on the M70 with some classic 80s Alisha Baby talk,Dirty Diana and some 30 minute mixes.

i know all to well the exzct thing you went thru,believe me... Soooo glad it turned out good,stress tess ,and nitro that's a breeze the next step would have been a cardiac cath. I';ve had FOUR OF THOSE in just the past 6 weeks! They are very grinding,welcome back relax, and def take it easy! :-D

Hope that's all it was, a scare, and you don't have any damage. :nonono:
My father just had emergency quad bypass surgery, he was ignoring the signs and it almost cost him his life but fortunately the doctors ran the right tests in the nick of time.

Take care of yourself, you know the usual diet and excercise. It's always good to see you posting, we need you around for a long time. :yes:

I got a theory... it's those 2 heavy boxes you're hauling around. Too strenuous for you buddy. Let me know if I can be of assistance with that. I got a couple of small handhelds I could trade you...... :lol:

Seriously. The time to start taking care of yourself is now. It's a wake up call.

take care my friend,, its always good to check ourselfs sometimes we think we are fine and as years sets in its more and more the time to see our doctors some of us walk around with a timer stapped around our hearts so we need to be very careful,, nelson i am glad you are ok and that your wife was at your side i can imagine her with the scare too :yes: wow , well no more cough medicine then :yes: :yes:

Seriously though, we don't wanna lose you, so hopefully it was just a fluke and you're with us and your family for many more years! :yes: Rest and take it easy my boomboxing friend! :thumbsup:

Sheeesh what is happening these days :hmmm: nelson all i can say is what most have said, RELAX man and put you're feet up and hopefully it was just a reaction to those pills, im sure the quack will put you on the wright track hope all works out for you :-) peace be with you unless you are using that m70 of course :-D .

Thank you guys I am feeling quite well.I see my PCP today and she may have some things she may want to check for b4 I continue my gym routine.Thanks all!!!You guys are the best.
