Not just for headlights huh!!!
I know there are many others who have done this process on the site. I got forced into it with the with the sharp. There was what appeared to be a chemical damage on the tuner lens.
Well the 3m kit worked a miracle on this thing. Now that I feel comfortable with the process I will be doing all sorts of other stuff.
Pictures to follow stay tuned...

Thanks Anton,
I am more than trilled with the results.
Was scary to try it for the first time, but after a few passes with the drill
I got control and was more comfortable.

That stuff really does work. I use it on my vintage calculator screens too. It actually achieves a higher level of finish than that of the original part.

James.... :-)

Great job Frank!

Chris also showed a good restoration work of VZ2000 vertical turntable cover.

One should have steady hands and go evenly....yes evenly ... when you use the more abrasive grades initially. Also should be careful not to go at a higher RMP otherwise will see wavy patterns it made when viewed from an angle say 85 degrees.

Ooo that's awesome! I was looking into this a while back but never found an .au seller for it.

Jimmy: you got some local hook ups for the 3M kits?

Rock On.

I've had a couple boxes where it looked like someone did that. They must not have done it right, because there were swirl marks that clouded up the glass.

Great work Frank. I have a few I need to do this too. I did the VZ2000 front turn table cover. It's amazing how well this works.

Yeah, you can fix it by redoing it and doing a better job!

Holy crap. I forgot about that one. Looks like someone used a screwdriver to scrape stuff of every surface of that M-71
