So today I'm sitting in the bedroom listening to my box when I glance up to watch the meters and notice what appears to be nail polish, smudge or some kind of paint on the side of my C100. NOOOO! 
Then the big relief once I discover it's just the dusk to dawn light (from my neighbors house) reflecting a pattern through the window curtain on my box.
Raised my hand up to touch the spot and it went away. Oh thank gawd....
