First of all, it is an easy box to take apart.

Don't be too afraid but still careful with everything you do - i crapped my pants opening mine (not spoken literally of course  ).

First thing you do is take out the 4 bulbs that light the speakers from the back. You DO NOT need to turn them as one can maybe think - with a bit of fiddling (I used a long pincet) the white holders of the bulbs should slide out. Unplug them and put them somewhere where they can not get hurt  .

Next thing is that you remove the screws on the back - that is the easiest part  .

once you did that, OPEN THE TAPE DOORS!!! If you do not do that, the snatch-in-mechnism might break!
Then after removing the tuner knob carefully take of the front of the radio.

Unplug 2 cables inside and you have the front in your hands!
Congratulations! You can now put the guts and back cover away and go to restore the rest!
I would strongly recommend some very CAREFUL application of deoxit on the sliders and switches. BE SURE to spray the rec/play bar and move it a few times because it can cause an ugly humm when it is not used in a while. That is why i had to open mine.

So as soon as you have the front in your hands, the first thing I would do is take out the speakers (I believe they were also "unplaggable" and no soldering is needed. Otherwise just leave them together and put them away too. CAREFULLY clean them with a soft brush.

As far as the LEDs go, I know they are mounted on boards, e.g. around the two middle speakers there are two square-shaped boards with LEDs on them, and the same is true for the outer speaker but with round rings and the two 4-LED-boards under the middle speakers.
I BELIEVE ( I did not try this out!) they each slide out if you gently pull on their back, they might be snatched in with a plastic latch.
The problem is to get them back in with resoldered LEDs.
If i were you, i would take those boards out (without seperating them) and resolder the LEDs that need resoldering. You can check them anytime by plugging them back in the plug you pulled them out and power up the main chassis.
Once you got the fiddling job of replacing them done, you are a happy man  .

As far as specifications go, I can only tell you the 4 bulbs are 6V 100mA. The LEDs are standard I suppose and in red, green and yellow/orange if I am not colorblind.
Just take one of them out and take it to a repair shop with you to get proper replacement.
It can also happen that the solder points for the LEDs are just loose or broke off - I can only hope for you that your LED boards are not broken - that would mean quite a job but it is still possible to rescue them.

Just stay calm and relaxed and make sure to document everything when you take it apart.

Good luck!
