Got A Sanyo M9998 For Cheap!!

Hi everyone-I've been pretty broke lately but I did manage to find a Sanyo M9998 for 30.00!! No kidding-I couldn't believe it!
Now it's all good except the antenna is busted off on 1 of the antennas and it needs belts.
I took the back off & did see that there wasn't any belts on it.Must have disintegrated or just came off.
It cleaned up real nice!! Photos tomorrow!!
The sound is quite incredible on ths unit!! Very bassy and powerful!! I'm happy!

i have an extreme high regard for the sound and the looks of the 9998 -
so --immvo :huh:
a good one = a $400 box !!! :-O :thumbsup:

I got it off E-bay a month ago for 33.00 I think it was-I was the only bidder!!
Luck has cometh to the boombox collector-me! :yes: Cleaned the funtion switch with 2 shots of the De-Oxit and presto!
Sound is incredible & all the lights work to! No toothpicks on this one Ira!! :-O :surf:
All the cassette wheels move when I move the capstan so it's all freed up but from what I can see the motor doesn't have a belt on it!
That's all it needs and 1 antenna maybe 2-the other has just the tip missing.
It was horribly dirty and managed to cleans the scuffs away to!

Ramon-what's the trick to getting that circuit board and shield off of the cassette parts? :-O

Super cool Jeff, great to see a killer box go on the cheap once in a while. It keeps the hope alive that there's hope for everyone still. :thumbsup:
