Came this morning..This is a mess,and i think he wont mind me saying this,but i think rimmer got rinsed real good when he bought this,the seller must have known it was a wreck...

I love my Conion, they really represent the 80's boombox funk so perfectly. They are big, flashy, loud, bassy, obnoxious, etc.

thanks guys..Whats wrong with it ?? well where do i start...
Bass and trebble not working,the whole of the body looks like its had a full respray,the chrome side bars are beat up,the front control panels have like corrotion,crackle effect,most vz2000s usually suffer the same,the tape tray sometimes wont stay in,ariels not origonal,top deck sounds dull,it did'nt have origonal bass either,i fitted these today,fit perfect,4 ohm...
Then again,i knew all this before i got it,so i'm still happy with it..i feel sorry for rimster,he paid £450..i'de say its worth £450 minus the zero ...

Dang GMan I can see why that would have been a depressing purchase for Tim. We've talked about the lying cheats that basically steal money from people on ebay so I won't go into that again.

it has another problem,one screw stem is broke and the piece is missing (before i got it)
If anyone in uk got a GF999 or TRC975..could possibly talk..despite all its issues,this is still a good box...

you are correct sir ill just stick to m90s trouble with conions and the like it's impossible to find a service manual so impossible to repair but ol ghetto is a talented guy if he can't fix the main issue ie bass n treble nobody can

Least all the cosmetics are good, especially with the tape door and spare tape tray, well worth the full restore I think.

If anyone's selling a tape door please let me know too, been a while since I've seen one mentioned anyhere as I'm still looking.

sorry guys,although its a rough machine,i just could'nt forgive myself if i started raiding all the parts off it..
ben i swapped it for my nice Pc55..i've got 2 more but they aint as nice as the one i sent rimster...does'nt matter,i dont use them much any way..i've been messing with the conion all day,even in its state,i still like it...its a kool box,and its a monster,alot of people dont realise that there bigger than the 777 (i think)

yes i think i will keep it for a while ben,the only thing that will persuade me to get rid of it is if i was offered one of my all time fave boxes,then the conions ass will be down the road quick time in a hurry..but untill then,i will give it a good home,i will look after it best i can...i goes well with my other boxes,i've got the conion next to the J1 and 777,they look good together
