My first in the wild spotting... a crappy box, but a spotting none the less, lol!

A Fisher PH-463 at a Good Will. It was only $11.99 but I didn't like the looks of it.

Broken antenna, missing battery cover, and very rusty battery compartment. Plus was that both doors worked well and it seemed all the buttons worked well. i didn't plug it in to text it any further.

Do you think I should have taken it?

Personally I would have passed on that.

Yeah, I never thought much of Fisher products, and on top of that this one had some issues. It did look really good from the front, cosmetically.
Personally, I don't like these types of boxes anyway. I only like one piece designs, but that's just my personal preference.
The only reason I would have bought this would be to try and flip it for a profit.

For 11bux I'd have picked her up!

Never know when you'll need deck doors/knobs/buttons/speakers/deck motors/etc etc.

Rock On.

Well I have to be in that area in a week or so, so if it's there I'll see if they'll take $8 for it, lol

Our goodwill stores don't barter on prices marked. I have tested two component cassette decks at ours, both didn't work, I offered less just to see what I could do with them, but they say "no, we will take them off the shelf and throw them away if they don't work"......

^ is that not the dumbest thing you have ever heard? They would rather throw them out than to take an offer on them  Idiots.

I've had some luck getting a Goodwill to lower there price once.
I picked up an Aiwa soft touch 3 head cassette deck and it was obvious the belts were bad so I pointed it out to the manager, she dropped the price on the spot from $20 to $5. With Goodwill it really depends on the staff at the store, some are real jerks and some are very cool and helpful.

The problem with this Fisher is it was priced knowing what was missing so it's probably harder to sell them on the idea of a lower price but it's worth a shot if you want it.

well you know that goodwill get there stuff for free people just drop them off ,,so i do not see why they cannot lower a price and they would still make some money instead of throwing it out :nonono:
