I had the luck last week on the flea so that I found two good boomboxes.
One is Telefunken bajazzo CR-8000, whitch I got it for only 5 eur.
A lot of dirty was on him, but everything is on the own place, nothing is missing. Antenna is also original.
It seems that one of the characteristics of telefunken is that the battery cover/door is positioned underneath. That is good in this case because it is assumed that the first buyer maybe did not know that this boombox has the possibility to work on the battery, because the battery compartment is a perfectly clean.
Here it is dirty:

Here it is now, after three days of detailed internal and external cleaning and inspecting. Everything works perfectly.

The second is National Panasonic RX-5100T in unbelievable cosmetic and functional condition. :w00t:
Perhaps, the explanation for his condition is that there is no FM band, only MW and 3 x SW, and therefore is very little used.
I wonder what is the purpose to produce high-quality stereo without FM stereo reception? :-/
I pay for this box 10 eur.
Here it is:

Those are definitely some great, little boomers right there. The Telefunken has that classic late-'70s look that makes it look like a tank. :-)

No FM on the Panasonic? That is very unusual. :hmmm: I thought all boomboxes, since the days of stereo broadcasts, had the FM band. Does somebody know more about this? Jens??

Yes, it is weird for a stereo units. :hmmm:
I know some mono models without FM reception, but it is not so important because they are mono.
Probably Jens must know more than any of us about that.

Both of those finds are incredible... the "Sleeping Beauty" Telefunken (that you were able to "wake up" with a thorough cleaning), and the Panasonic 5100T. I have several versions of the 5100, but not that one. It must be very rare! I have a 3SW-1MW band version of the JVC RC-550, which is unusual, but understandable, since the box is mono. A stereo boombox without FM makes no sense at all... unless it was sold in a remote part of the world where there aren't any FM stations. Where exactly that would be, I have no idea!!

Greats finds Toni, both nice boxes. I grew up with the 5100 and although it's not the best sounding it does sound good and gets really loud.

Congrats toni, a real highscore!
The TELEFUNKEN is antique looking, but loaded with features.
And at night one of the best looking boxes:

About the NP really unbelieveable, there is no FM... :-O :hmmm:
If there is really no FM , is it a Stereo?
Or a 2 speaker mono?
Without FM would Stereo be senceless.
