All that glitters.....I've been watching a c100f on ebay the description describes it as silver but the pics...sure do look gold....I'm sceptial as in close exam of the power cord sitting on the top shows the blades gold as well....I hope somebody gets a Gold one for a song....but it looks like a record breaker for a silver.....Hope its gold springs eternal.....

Ok ok. Are we to believe this auction is legit? I was really doubting it when it was at 1775 and the leading bidder had a big total of 0. Now with it apparently going for 3000+, are we really believing that this is legit? Like already said, it's got some scuffs and doesnt even have a few dollars worth of belts to get the decks working. And are those the orig antennas? Guess I've never seen the red tips as orig.

Something HAS to be fishy right?

Wasn't the previous high for a C100 Or AKA around 1800 for that one outta Milwaulkee earlier this year? And that one looked like it was right outta the Kobe Japan plant.

Someone's gotta find out from the buyer or seller if this auction is legit. Even if had a million bucks in my pocket to blow on boxes, I'd still skip this one for one that can F'n play a casette tape and don't have a 3000 belts project box

:agree: Sounds fishy, but I believe the one in Wisconsin was a super clean Korean model too :hmmm: I am selling mine and buying 5 :w00t: Also check antennas, not even original :dunce:

It's a pretty nice one, better than most but whoever bought it took a huge risk/gamble and lost.

Gold Conions have black color around that button instead of the blue. I think the dial is also black as well, while the standard silver one has blue dial. It's clearly a standard conion.

Holy mortarforking sheezot!! :-O At that kind of price, I would want it to be brand new in a factory-sealed box and personally delivered in a 2012 Porsche Panamera.

3,050 dollars?

I say that is a pile of ****!!!!!
Seriously - it is amazing what yellow light can do to make a normal Conion look gold and make fools buy it

Incandescent lighting can do funny things to a plain, silver boombox.

Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, things seem more valuable than they do the day after. Let's talk "buyer's remorse."

I feel a second-chance offer coming on.

the dude clearly states the box is a uniform silver on the front . to me that means the box aint' gold

and on top of that all the bidders have to do is ask the seller what damn color the box is before throwing money at it :dunce:

gold or not no box is worth that much unless it was new in the box and in pristine condition and it was a gold conion or boxed new m90 then that would be a reasonable price .

it looks like the conion is starting to pass the m90 in the price wars but both are trying to catch up to the discolite which sells for absurd money then you have the trc 931 and the rc550 fighting for 4th place  i love it ,glad i don't have to do this shiat anymore i been collecting for about 12 years straight so all those boxes are water under the bridge to me .

Somebody is trying to surf the madness wave and put a BIN Conion up for 3000$ :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
And the best is - it is not in perfect but much more in average condition :dunce:

What is going on, has it ever been as crazy as some of these 2 recent Conion auctions, neither of which I think we go through at 3000+?

I recently emailed the guy selling the 777 with a starting bid set at $670, while showing 1 small picture, very little description aside from saying it was probably used in "New York City Streets, has been around street fights, at the park jams, street parties", not something I'd think makes it retain good condition. I told him to get anyone to spend they money he expects, it'd need to have larger/better and a lot more pics (and used xiaosan's photos as a nice sample of photos). Told him that he should start the bidding lower too as if it's a nice unit with good photos and description, the price will get up there no problem. But of course he didn't listen, and relisted it for $670 starting, 1 pic and a description that makes it sound like it'd been through war, hence 0 bids. Maybe he'll just keep on listing it forever like a $900 "Electro Brand".
