gf-999 restoration

Hello all....not been on for a good while ....been busy

....well when i got it the thing was a wreck.....bad shipping damage from japan the guy said......

broken tuner board.....cassette decks need re-belting and greasing.....blown amp chip.......speakers were painted in thick gold paint.....

front and back casing smashed and full of cracks....power switch and LED broken ......

with missing parts all over the box in and out.....i thought oh my god what have i bought.........w



well anyway that was 2 months ago





today however...she`s back to her former glory with new speakers and all broken or missing parts replaced............

I agree with the agreeers here, really good restoration/custom. Love the speakers.

I should restore mine, but I love carrying it around.

It is amazing how the guys at BB keep pushing the boundaries of restoration.

That unit looks fantastic, the effort that has gone into it is truely fabulous.
