GF-9595, Built in mic?

I bought some fancy cassettes with fancy hubs, so I thought I'd do some recording.

And I noticed that the VU display flashing up when I was moving stuff, so I tried it out and it seems to record sound quite nicely.

How is the quality over the mics?

I nearly never use them.
Only recording from radio, line in or dubbing.

when i use my hitachi to record via the mikes,

it delivers an amazing stereo image,

( two mics )

and yes if it flashes i suppose 9595 must have mics
