so i have this gf-1000 that i did a trade with terry the right ch dose not work i have replaced the amp ics but sill the same problem .at very low volume i can hear the right ch also i have no bass treble or balance. i do have sub control on the left thats all and volume i have cleaned all switches and pots both uvs are moving so i think the pre amp is fine tape radio aux all the same the only thing i have to try are head phones as i dont have ones that fit the the big hole :dunce: do you think it mite be the caps but would that affect bass treble and balance .all so i have checked the speaker inputs in the back.all speakers are fine as i have replaced hope someone can help :superduper: :-D

That little switch on the back of the box that goes from "line-in" to "phono"..... switch it back and fourth a few times and jiggle it a little bit. Let me know if that helps.

i have just put some contact clener on that switch but no change but will take the back off and have a look at the joints thats about the only thing i havent looked at will let you no thanks mate :-)

Some time ago, I had no bass in one of my super woofers no matter what. I had to clean the controls for bass and super woofer really good with DeOxit before I got my bass back. I would try a thorough cleaning of ALL tone controls and see what happens.

holley crap we are all go it was the volume worked on it for 20min back and forth with cleaner and it slowley came right just when you think its clean its not thanks boys and have all controls working :smooch: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Most boomboxes that originate from Japan have a notorious habit of forming some seriously nasty corrosion. Must be something in the air over there. Normally, you will see the corrosion externally but of course it forms inside too.
