I just picked up a Sanyo M9930 in very good condition. I had one in 1979 and forgot how good it sounded. I must have played my RUSH tapes a million times on it. The one I just got is missing the handle, but everything else is working great so far. I can't remember how to use the RCA inputs on the side though. There isn't an input switch anywhere that I can see. Anybody know?

You might have to press record on the tape deck and that allows the line in signal to work.

I inserted a blank tape then pressed PAUSE/PLAY/RECORD and it worked! It's been 40 years since I had to do that. Thanks for the reminder. This is so cool.

So on my Sanyo M9970 the line in I think is the same. You do need to hit Red/Play then the line-in works?!
I believe I forgot about this,thanks Floyd!!
