Getting some highs.

In another thread I discuss the sound of the Panasonic 5150.
How it sounds good and strong but seems a little muffled when comparing it to the Lasonic 920.
Perhaps it's not fair to compare it to the Lasonic but it didn't fair that badly...we just need some tweets.
5150 has the nice plastic encased fake tweets with a dust cap so that it looks real.
I put my ear up to it and hear almost nothing.

I got lucky with finding this broken CD player with tiny speakers.
They have a real magnet coil function and they push sound.
I hooked it up and the result is beautiful highs on top of the already great sounding mids and bass.

NO.
Strangely enough, the louder I pump the volume, the clearer these little things sound.

well by the looks of those panny tweeters look like piezo ones which are not that great ,, the panny 5090 uses a small real tweeter which i belive fits nicely in there maybe with a small mod ,, but those look pretty good also..

Panasonic 5150 is an awesome sounding boombox.
Once you throw in some tweeters.
Rich bass and crisp highs
The ambience function is wonderful.

OSS is right. That is why the RX-5250 sounds so much sweeter than the RX-5150. Yep, mine does the same thing -- you can't hear a damn thing out of them.
