general use issue

hi all...do you who collect boomboxes use them quite often? Or do they go on display?

i mean...i can't remember the last time someone used a boombox at a party. i plan on breaking out my tdk 3-speaker at the next gathering.

Use mine every day! Swap them round every week or so. Mine have been to the odd party every now and again

yep me too, all the boxes iv'e ever had have seen good use, i take them to the beach in the summer and iv'e even been know to take one to a night club once lol. you should of seen the attention it got i also got a free drink of the barman for letting him put it on display behind the bar for the night i was very drunk though and would never of took it round town sober lol, still it was a great night

I use one everyday during the week. I have one hooked up to my computer speakers at work in my office.

Rotate a different box every other week or so. Also try to play some on the weekends either outside, in the garage, camping, or at a family gathering.

When not in use, ALWAYS put them on display!!!

I play at least one box every day. I just pulled ALL my boxes out and gave them all some blasting time this past weekend.

Since my receiver died years ago, all I've been using are my boxes. That said, I'm so used to the situation at this point, I'll probably never buy a replacement receiver.

I use a radio every day....the hardest part is picking one Sometimes I sit and look at my collection trying to decide...I know, poor me

Rotate mine as often as I can to keep the mechanicals in shape and to check for static etc. Have taken them everywhere from church and family get togethers to meets and work.
