Hi all,
OK so I picked up a gen 1 Lasonic a few weeks back and since then I've had chance to dig into it a bit. Some immediately obvious are -
1) Some tape deck keys missing (but replacements ordered)
2) Some EQ slider knobs missing.
3) Twin antennas missing - a replacement single has been added to the right hand side corner.
4) Volume control very scratchy.
5) Radio band selector doesn't work
6) Tape decks don't work.
7) Hole in tuner window.
Internal inspection reveals further woes -
7) DC power supply completely missing, replacement AC power chord spliced in and connected to power supply.
8) Power supply connections spliced to main board, not original.
9) Tuner board not original - it has two headers for some connections and many wires have been spliced between it and main amp.
10) Band select completely disconnected - turns out it is now a potentiometer for 'fine adjust'
On the upside -
1) The function select switch works !!
2) It has a handle
3) It has a battery cover
4) It has most, if not all, control knobs and sliders
5) Decals, chrome etc mostly pretty good.
6) Tape decks are complete and don't appear to have been hacked / spliced.
7) Speakers all work
8) It powers up / power button OK.
