Well like the tittle says I gave away my DC7 !
why and to who i hear you ask
well the guy that swapped me the 777 for old camera gear said he had a mate that was looking for his old childhood box - the DC7.... so as i'm such a nice guy i handed over the box to him - now he was over the moon with it - should be as it was mint, the perspex dial cover and record draw were so clean and not a mark on them - the aerial was clean and straight - every thing works perfect - the speaker sound lush and clean - in fact it was 9.5 /10
But why give away some thing so clean and perfect ?
well it turns out the guy who i gave it to fixes electrical things and works on planes
and also fixes any thing electrical like TV, computers, and BOOMBOXES
he was the guy to look over the 777 before it came to me - he took it apart and checked every thing was working well !
He loved the DC7 and so we made a deal that he gets the DC7 free and i get a life time of him fixing my boxes
he said just drop of a load of boxes and he would give me a call when they are done and then drop off another load
I'm not going to over load him with them but i figure he can get through my lot over the next couple of years
I saw him working and he gets off on finding out what part is not working and tests it and keeps going till it's done - OCD
so as much as i loved the DC7 i knew i had to give it up to help the other boxes - I don't mind as he was so pleased with the DC7 and you could clearly see that he had the love of it and what it meant, so i knew it was going to a good home - we had a good long chat about things and how things in life should be - a job is to be done well and to it's best ability
so i now have a FIXER to sort out my machines
and my very clean 777H - still yet to take some good pic's outside
cheers B
