Finally got around to working on this G.E. 3-5286A. I have been consumed with my light mod on the 935 and the Panasonic restoration so I have been putting this off. Was gonna sit out and listen to some tunes and have some beers and thought...instead...finish this. Glad I did. Nice little boomer with a nice sound. Really like the looks of it(clean lines, blue/greenish glass, Interesting mic/tweeter grills). Like a dumb ass, I didn't take an overall shot of the exterior before I took it apart(it wasn't that bad really, some scratches, scuffs, a few glue? stains and paint splatters). The inside strangely had a lot of crap and some corrosion :hmmm: :hmmm: . I cleaned it all out nicey nice. Fixed the line in and do oxed all the pots and toggles so static is gone. Radio worked so that's one thing I didn't have to mess with. I got the tape deck to engage but now I need belts(I am getting more confident with the decks). Overall, I am pleased. Gonna take her for a spin right now. :breakdance:
