Hey there!
My name is Tommy Thomas! I live in Inman, South Carolina. I'm 38 and my first boombox was a Panasonic CD player with dual cassette decks. It was bought new in 1994. I still have it and it still works perfectly! I'm a huge fan of all things Panasonic! Everything I've had by Panasonic... none of it has failed.
I recently started getting into wanting 80s boomboxes. I found a couple of Sony's... a Sony B-150 (from the early 90s) that won't recognize a CD. I need to clean the lens in it. I found another Sony, a CRF-45. It's a nice little boombox. Then I found a Panasonic RX-5050. It was a little dirty, but otherwise in good shape. I bought De-Ox-Id (Not Dexoit) to spray on the volume, balance, the sliders up top and on the front. I also cleaned the record switch inside. I don't know why, but before and even after cleaning, there seems like there's a very slight distortion/slight loss of power in the right speaker. It could be me, but it seems like it's there. What would you all suggest?
Thanks again! Y'all rock!
Tommy
