Fresh from the UK Meet - Sanyo MX-920

So, i have had the Sanyo MX-920 as my number one on my list for sometime, in amongst the madness of the UK meet, boxes were blasted, food and drinks were consumed, and deals were done and finally my number one was realised:

This one is even better as it the exact one i have had as my desktop wallpaper for two years now! Massive thanks to Si, no profiteering, no bartering, he gave me a price that was beyond fair and I shook with him and took possession. Approximately 30 seconds later Docs, Char and Geoff had it in pieces and was servicing the decks and replacing the belts.

The upshot of it is a fully working Sanyo that i have been polishing all day and have found hard to stop looking at it today! I freaking love this thing and will never part with it.

Once again thanks Si, a legend, so glad i got to meet you and your beautiful missus in person, you were both a pleasure to meet.

Absolute pleasure sir. I knew how much you wanted a good one. I hadn't particularly planned to sell it but you clearly wanted it more than me so it seemed the decent thing to do lol. And you know me, although I'm a bit tight when buying (lol) I like others to get a bargain too when I'm selling.

Glad the A Team sorted the deck and you got it home in one piece. And it was a genuine pleasure to meet you in person too :-)

I know that feeling - having a box you really don't want to sell but you have a buyer who wants it more than you do. It's a great feeling seeing someone get truly excited by a new box purchase.

Well done Northener for making the new owners' dream come true. :-)

Yeh Tre has always wanted this thing...seemed cruel to not let him have it :-)

It was great to see the deal unfold at the meet , and Tre was spoilt for choice as there was another great Sanyo 920 there too.
What's the next personal grail now that this one is off the list?

I'm happy for you. These boxes are hard to come by , I sold mine like dummy and cheap too lol. Mine had the black tuner scale which doesn't look as good . still these are top of the line Sanyo and have some of the nicest controls of any box. I love the knobs on this box

Stepping back in the day....

Tre was the first to arrive (beside me) and the Sanyo 920 was already there, in a clear plastic bag sitting on the table. It took him mere seconds to see it and he lit up, asked if he could see it out of the bag. Rory and him discussed who's it was and why it was there and then Rory told him that it may be available to buy today.

Tre's face LIT UP! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

It was crushed a few seconds later when HIS RUDENESS said, "But there may be others interested in purchasing it" :jawdrop: :blink: :huh: :'-( :sad: :bang:

The look on Tre's face was was glee to heart break in seconds, just glad it worked out :thumbsup:
