Found a cool turntable today, the Aiwa LX-70 direct drive linear tracking compact, for $6.00 at the tip shop. Nice condition, but the tonearm drive belts were melted. I replaced them and now it works nicely. Needle needs replacing though. Best price I can find is at LPgear for $30. Anyone know of any better price I can find?
This is the one, not mine though: http://www.sekaimon.com/i180849055397

wow :-D great price ! I have a LX 110 and it´s a very good small direct drive turntable ! The LX-70 is a good partner for many Aiwa CA combos

cheers,

Nice score! That model should have the cord to connect to the phono control input on most Aiwa boomboxes. I've been curious as to how well that works. If you try it out, let us know.

Now you just need to find an Aiwa compo to go with it. :-D

Thanks for the comments guys!
Well I have the CA-100HG (boxed), do you think that would work ok together? They're similar in colour as well!
