I wanted to add Bluetooth streaming to my Sharp GF555 and My Hitachi 3d80 Boomboxes but i didn't want to start soldering onto the board of the box. I managed to find this little dongle that is battery powered and connects to the line input. Its small enough to stow away in the battery compartment or stick to the back of the boombox with double sided tape. Very good sound and works great. Cost me £9 on Ebay

Have you figured out how far it will transmit by any chance?
Placed in the battery box its 5-10 Meters. sounds awesome. Ive had it playing all day, you will be shocked how small it is. imagine them photos in correct scale. Its just bigger than a 50P piece.

Doe this quality as a good Bluetooth idea for a BB? I ask as I'm ignorant of such things as Bluetooth technology and the like in this fast and ever changing world.

That BT cassette works, but sound isn't great,it isn't a direct line-in. And only lasts an hour or two.
Cool that it powers on when you press play.

Get a Juststop Christine, those 'Cassette Adapters' are crap!!

Quality of the line in Bluetooth modules is astonishing - you need good quality files on your device to achieve great sound though! :-)
