its a toshiba rt8060 --also called a bombeat #16

and there are lots of tosh variations --
but all with this same black/chrome ratio

they never sell on ebay for too much $$
--the sound is not big - but very good and clear

and they are stunning .....

I have one of these, it's been on my 'neeeeds' list since I started collecting.
It's a wonderful radio and a TRUE workhorse. No bass monster, but clean sound
and looks that stop traffic. Really beautiful radio, worth a place in anyone's collection.

Mine needs a volume knob if anyone's got one too, by the way.

It has joined the JVC RC-550 at the top[ of my wish list.

yes it does 6 speakers no fake ones thats what i thought at first but a careful inpection revealed i tweeter i tweeter midrange and a woofer the sound it awesome the speaker setup is nicely done

they come up on ebay a few times each year --
and they never get much attention --
never saw one sell for more than 75 bucks (i think)

and now that i am thinking about it --
mine came from ramonchito --

he won it after a 7 day auction for about 15 little dollars--

and then --i liked it more than he did --
so i traded for it with him -
he got TWO 'gently used' radio shack antennas for it ....

as - slick me convinced him -- that those orange tip
antennas were ultra-rare serious collector items
