Been After One Of These In Minty Condition For Years!!

Here we are in 2018 & somehow I manage to find this Silver SR-8800L in stunning condition for just £22

Unusually the tape 2 playback deck works just fine these are usually dead, so it's just the main cassette deck I have to repair.............

These are one hell of a boombox - Huge, powerful & built like a tank!!

Great quality powerful amp section delivers what I can only describe as a sound to die for - Sheer quality & I often wonder why these don't get more recognition in the boomer community

I love them & this has to be my find of the year so far...........Still cannot believe the condition of this one, just one tiny ding at top of tuner scale!!

Tuner & Tape 2 fully working - The video is my tiny bluetooth adapter connected to line in!!

You will NEED headphones or decent desktop speakers to get some idea of the huge sound these produce & of course no substitute for being here in front of it

I love that model Boombox I always wanted one but I always wondered if they were worth getting , seems like they are.

Congrats!

These really do sound nice, precise, and LOUD. Especially after I added some Dynamat inside the speakers to tighten up the bass and eliminate any boxy sound artifacts.

One day I might replace the woofers to add some more warmth. But for now it's perfectly OK as is.

Best enjoyed with a blank tape running Record, to see those beautiful meters in action!
