went to a big flea market recently and picked up a Panasonic RX-5250 that appeared to be in great condition. Included the AC power cord, and all switches and knobs appeared to work properly except the tape counter reset button was missing. wasnt able to try it out but for $10 i wasnt too worried!! got it home and plugged it in, plays radio perfectly, but tapes are a problem. when playing a tape, the tape can be heard very faintly behind a throbbing WAH WAH WAH WAH WAH... the tape is spinning, but could there be another belt at fault? i havent cracked into the case yet, just wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions of problems to look for. I dont really know much about boomboxes, but i am pretty handy mechanically and can wield a soldering iron as well.
thanks for the help!
