Fisher Lovin, What Else Am I Missing??

I just got a Fisher 480 in a hot trade off Alfie and am so madly in love with her! The 480 and 492 have always been on my wish list but now I thought I best ask around for any other suggestions of BIG threepiecers with 20cm woofers?

The main reason I don't go for the threepiecers is the lack of confidence I have carrying one and I'm not a fan of the more 'squat' box design. The Fisher 480 is tall like a onepiecer in design, but just with detatchable speakers.

Are there many other component boxes with these dimeensions and 20cm woofers I should be adding to my neeeeds list??

No 20cm woofers though - sorry

I always loved and totally recomend the big Marantz 7000 and 8000 series.
I miss my PMS-7000...... :'-(

Hmm I've been tempted by those a couple of times, Skippy.

But are they TALL? They look pretty standard threepiecer height to me, but photos can be very deceiving.

One of the things I'm not a fan of with the normal threepiecer design is the depth dimension being similar to the height,
makes them ungainly to carry.

But I'm sure those Marantz's sound incredible!
