There seems to have been a glut of TRK 8600's on UK ebay recently - don't know why - but this one is a good solid example.
A few nicks and scrapes - nothing serious

MORE TO COME . . . . . .

Nice one CB, the 8600 are certainly good lookers.

I was just a little disappointed in the sound of mine but that's probably because I had high expectations based on the looks, it's still a nice keeper box.

I make you right there - I got the 8200 as well and the sound is, as you say disappointing.

BUT - I mainly want this box for the looks and spec:

3way speakers
Dolby
Soft Touch controls
Manual recording levels
twin VU's
MASSIVE

Can anyone confirm that the soft touch control console is loose on there unit? As this one has a fair bit of travel.

It's been a while since I've handled mine but I do recall a somewhat loose control panel, not sure if that's because it's not attached right. :hmmm:
I'll have to check it out tonight when I get home.

Very nice indeed - I've always been in two minds about those boxes but I think I really do like them after seeing that super example.

Congratulations, I believe that one was ghettoman's old 8600 from ebay. Well done on the purchase.

Sounds pretty good - apart from belt is on the way out - and the tweeters don't sound as sweet as they should - maybe a f**ked crossover cap
