My 777H and Z are finally both home safe. The Z is a craigslist find and the H is a BIN ebay boomer. Only one not pictured is the Dynasty because it is still on vacation but you guys all know what that box looks like.

The Magnavox Power Plays both have cassette issues. I have the dark gray one and the silver one.

yep same deal here and all around ....this are notorious for tape player malfunctioning/braking

I meant to say that they are all home. I have been waiting weeks for the 777's to show up and I have been itching to take pictures of them. I couldn't wait for the Dynasty but these are my collection.

I am truely a listener when it comes to these boxes so the worst sounding or boxes that need the most work will probably be sold off. It is hard to want to listen to any other boomers besides the 777's, SCR 8, M-X650K, or the Dynasty The power plays will go, the Sears box may go (but skippy gave it to me so it might stay), the pinky stays because it is my wifes, the yellow maggie isn't really a power house but it is pretty cool with the integrated strap that's my thought right now.

At first I wanted all boomboxes, now I am just shooting for ones that have the "wow" factor that are still a managable price.

Who knows, maybe I will keep them all, but I honestly think I am a "big boomer" collector.

I believe there is a small gear that seems to always break But on another note there are many of those d8443's left with the exception of less silver than gray ones

The Dynasty is about 99%. The finicky cassette motor only plays super fast so I can't play a tape on it still..... BUT, everything else works just fine, the circuit boars are re-capped, small gauge wires replaced, fixed EQ slider, and the cassettes are re-belted so when I get a new motor I am ready to ROCK!


There are some sweet custom modifications being done to the Wheely too that super might post up when he is done. Then the box is on it's way back home. I can't wait!

I have a Magnavox and a Philips version (both dark grey). Kinda the same thing... only different.
