T'was the morning of the first, and all through my room
Not a woofer was thumping, not even one boom!
My boxes were stacked upon shelves ceiling high
Wondering "where the hell am I gonna put this thing?" When my VZ arrives.
A boring day it isn't, still glowing with the feel of success
A morning Bay listing, knowing I've got it I still feel in awe. F**k yes.
Sorry bout bein so cheesy to start
But this feels just like Christmas-
My "VZ in March".
After three years of wishing to find one in the wild, lusting after them online, bidding on the bay, losing, passing on bashed up examples (like literally one looked like someone shoved a large knife through the front/rear case a few times), I can finally check this model off of my list of five or so "must haves/personal grails": the Sharp VZ-2000.
Silver and black all around, sleek, chrome accents (why the hell didn't they chrome the woofer trim rings? I need some of Caution's "VZ Bling" chrome stickers in my life.), Large and in charge. This model has always stuck out to me due to the obvious turntable that proudly presents itself. It's big, and it. Is. Heavy. It needs tore down, repaired, cleaned, restored, the whole nine, even ten yards. It isn't the prettiest example by far~ but this one is mine:
I'm so happy to finally have one, I've downloaded the service manual and takedown instructions and have studied both extensively 😂.
