Finally got a bite!! {almost threw it back}

Fellow enthusiasts, it's been a dry year 'round these parts.
I've been finding nothing on the shelves of my favorite thrift stores.
Last week I found this though, at 15 dollars I almost didn't buy it, but maybe it will be a fun project.
It's got two gaping holes on both sides of the box.
No stereo inputs, but it's a nice size {about the size of my Lasonic 920} and it's not very heavy at all.
What do you think?

more like "tiny insignificant pinholes that dont affect the performance "

I probably wouldn't have passed on that one. If it is fully working then it is good for at least a little modifying . I do understand that $15 might be best stuck into other boxes that you might currently have. New belts, polish, detailing, etc... Either way, looks good.

However this model seems to be avoiding me! Never seen one in a wild.

Holes or not; I would've snapped that up for $15.......double that and it still isn't a bad deal! Even nice mid-sizers like that don't show up in the wild too often here in Boston.
