new collector here, I only have few vintage blasters... some with issues, others doing alright, I take liking of the Panasonic brand, they bore the look of the retro style and based of my 5080 which is in midst of some work, am interested in similar models, ...rather weary of ebay searches as my only means of hunting...these three boom boxes I take serious interest in, all similar mold as you can tell...couple with equalizers which I find rather neat...thanks -harold @ flickshack

yeah 8 hundo is way over the totem pole of affordability for me sadly but in a ideal world I would have a baker's dozen of sought after blasters already...though I feel with even if pretend fantastic funds per se I would still seek out these model mentioned, they capture that vintage look from that decade for me, though I am not familiar with the 5350 but I will glance it to see the magic hear the roar so to speak...don't know where I was going w: that lol

If your looking for a 5050, take your time and wait. Everyone prices them the same regardless of condition.
I waited till one was listed in exceptional condition, it was hard to wait but it paid off.

Don’t overlook the 5025, it’s a great looking and sounding bb for cheap. It only has tone control and I like the sound better than the 5050 and it goes just as loud. Not that different in size overall either.

Panasonic made boxes to last. I tried a Pioneer for my first box back and it didn’t work out. No issues with the pannys.

Totally agree regarding the 5025. Cheap, available, easy to work on and great sound.

What are the odds, literally I was researching and looking at the 5025 throughout the day, I would not mind dipping for a lower cost model with decent output like that, get the collection going a bit too since my luck is dry, it is now it is definitely in the crosshairs...otherwise not seeing listings that I feel are solid enough to go for...for all these models discussed...currently my FW29 which is like 1988, has been my most used music vessel, I own two, good auto reverse box and equalizer is not bad

I got my 5025 recently for $25 and $20 shipping on eBay and it’s in very nice condition.

I figured it would hold me over till I found a 5050 and was surprised with the output. Then I finally found a nice 5050.

damn see that's the value I want to go with, like desirably a few range of quality and price to start of the collection some...right now prices are high all around w/ furious bidding/asking prices. I have two decent size cassette lots on eBay that are well over 100 and got over that mark withing couple days though for now, I think the 5020 is good target and if any other similar even if different brands I am all ears....one question is how is the size comparable to like the 5080/85

If you're still looking, I'm currently embarking on 500 mile journey to buy an extensive collection from a (former) collector that includes mostly Panasonic models. They're all in extremely good condition, one being like new in box even. There's more than I can feasibly keep, sadly, but I'd love them to find a good home. I left the list I made up of the models in the collection, but I remember there was a RX-5150, 4920, and 5025...?

Message me for more details

The 5050 is very common, so common that you can often find a nice one for only $50-75
