The RockE had a fantastic day today.

As some of you may have read (if you didn't do it NOW!) Gluecifers post about me visting him and Rich on the weekend.

I offloaded most of my boxes because I was getting a bit of Step Dad grief due to them being at his place and I also have an overseas trip coming up so the money was needed.

I was sitting at work today contemplating whether I should go visit the Rubbish Dump store for boxes, I thought at least if I did find something remotely nice Rick or Rich would buy them from me.

Since the store is only 15 min away I went, I looked in the two sections they store these sorts of things and saw nothing new, for a change I decided to go back to the first section and look again when I saw the twin VU's and a speaker and thought WTF, it was slightly hidden behind panels and on the right wall so didn't see it when I first looked, when I got the box out it was a bigger WTF!!! with a few other choice comments :)

Getting to the counter the guy says to me where did you get that, I said just around the corner and then started to point out it was missing an aerial tip and was covered in all sorts of crap before I'd finished he said $10 so I paid the man that pricely sum and walked out fully stoked!

On Saturday at Rick's we got talking and I mentioned the M70 as an option to replace the Hitachi I'd given him earlier in the year to fix one he had but was told they can go up to $700, dejected we talked about more options and the M70 forgotten about.

I phoned Rick tonight about my find and he said it must of been good Kharma for selling him and Rich my boxes and I can only agree.

So without more to say I present my find! It's not fully cleaned yet but I have started, I do need someone to tell me what the little sticker says on top of the box near the scan switch, I erased it with the stuff I was using to clean the box... :-/

Defects, missing a knob from one aerial, it has a few little marks but thankfully it has all switches etc and everything works great.

awesome find :w00t: i bet she cleans up nice :-) , these finds are the reason i don't try too hard with ebay for boxes at all because there are still great finds and saves in the wild and the satisfaction is greater knowing you got it cheap and easy  .

lol I was reading the manual I downloaded from Boomboxery's manual section and came across this.

Volume Control
Adjusts the output level of the built-in speakers, or attached external speakers or headphones. You can decrease the output level a bit from the speakers to enjoy music at night in order not to disturb others.

Oh really can I?, I would never have guessed! Depends if you like others I suppose!
