good morning this one was found yesterday by a friend of mine....he was on his gargabge collection route when he came across this boomer...he said jimmy would like this one ...and he was right I lit up when i saw it...Well this is where the fun starts took home the box at first it powered up but there was no sound from the left channel just avery faint sound all for the switches were scratchy and covered with dirt.....full disassemble ...man was it dirty began to clean it up with compressed air an deoxit....cleaned all the bords and switches...removed all the speakes and cleaned the dust and dirt from them....ahd alot of fun bringing this on back to life...also thanks to jboogie for his input along the way...and thaks to llopez for his input as well ...here are the pics

Another great rescue from the landfill. Can you imagine how many are going into the land fills world wide? And this one is now fully working. How cool is that? I'm calling "Pre Dibs" on everyone's cool boxes found from this day forward.

Absolutely true ! i think about it all the time and its sad,what happened to the new agreement by the worlds goverments a couple of years ago to recycle ? not much recycling going on from what i can see..
same goes for cars,they crush thousands of cars every year and just imagine the memories that they have,they were once belonged to a family and took them on many holidays,they are a personal thing,its sad because when the cars die,they take memories with them,its a horrible thought..

Anyhow,back on subject..This is my favorite type of story,saving a box when you know it was destined for the crusher,now its been saved and it will live on for at least another 20 or so years
