Ok guy i'm at it again ...  yesterday I recieved my master blaster at first glance I though it was in good shape   well after about 2 mins i discovered black duct tape covering up alot of the sins on this box ...today i put out a post looking for the tuner window and knob ..the reason is someone decided to drill 6 holes in the glass to put rhinestoes in the window :dunce: also did the same thing to the tuning knob might have looked ok if the holes were drilled evenly  But after a closer look I decided to strip the box down and start to see what else was in there ..I found 4 broken posts and a light someone sodered to the main power connectors..so that was a real mess to but this box does sound really good and the size is just unbelivable :w00t: :w00t: so the seller has agreed to send me a nice refund to make up for all of the things wrong that were never said :nonono: :nonono: so after a full disassemble I began repairing the broken posts and the crack in the top ...so far so good ..after this was done it was off to the dunk tank to wash 25 years of grime off and to my suprize there was a diamond in the ruff ...washed very well and im pleased so far at the outcome   so today i spent some time polishing all the chrome and the plastic ..so for now im done monday after work im going clean the back cover and start to assemble :breakdance: :breakdance: here are some of the progress pics....

Good work rebuilding the beast. 10" cans & mids & tweets? How much room is there for modding?

There are no Mids :sadno: Only Big A$$ woofers and tweeters. There is plenty of room to add mids. But, as Tony, Blu_Fuz, Frank, Peter, Max and a few others can attest to, the depth of bass on these can't be beat. I compared My Minty Lasonic TRC975's 'Loudnes Bass System' (LBS) to Mine at the same volume level. These 10"ers have that Barry White effect :-D

Woah, nice box! Does this originally have just 2 piezos and the 10 inchers?

I'd suggest replacing the tweeters with something like these, TangBand W2-803SK. Frequency response is spec'd to 160Hz-20KHz. Would look good too.

guys thanks for all your kind words ......Well for three days and nights i have been super busy on this beast....between 20 years of dirt and grime broken posts finding screws and literly thinking how i was gonna repair this great box.... my biggest obsticle was the six holes drilled into the tuner glass that was areal nightmere .since I knew it would be next to impossible finding a new tuner window i decided to fix my holes and the awful cloudyness in the plastic (sorry no pics)..first thing was to fill the holes with jb weld ,i used a piece of tape to pack the hole and keep it from going all over the tuner glass...after i was happy with the fill i let it dry  next thing was to sand area smooth ...so i used a 1000 grit wet sand paper followed by 2000 finish after this i used a compound on a high speed buffer to restore the finish on the glass then a softer pad for a slick result.. :hmmm: so after this i still wasn,t shure if i wanted to mask off the black area and paint it....I was always preety good with pinstripe so i decided to use that .... :breakdance: 2 straight black lines surrounded by a electric blue and thats it..im still working on the tuner knob i used a chrome tape on that but im gonna redue it and get it much smoother the driil hole is still in it for now....radio is fully assembled and all posts are fixed and nice new screws hold it solid once again...as for the top of the radio were the crack was .. :-) :-) again i really didn't tto start painting and sanding ...so this mornig I was in the auto parts store and came across black vinal stripes and gave me an idea :frankenstein:...I used vinal to redue the top panel and i have to say it worked great .a little soap and water to float it on and squgee to remove the water and presto...it not perfect but will do o enough outta me here are this pics of my master blaster :breakdance: :breakdance:

Jimmy, that turned out really really nice  . Do your speakers start to "fart" with the bass and volume up to about 1/2 way? :hmmm:

How can you say, don't mod a wheely?!?!?! I also have the superduper amp kit to install in this some day. I will swap out the speakers to not damage the original ones, but it should SLAM this black plastic into pieces when I'm done :breakdance: .
