I scored all twelve issues of Electronics Australia from 1982 off ebay for pittance in the hope there may be some hot blaster coverage in a couple of the issues. So far I'm 4 issues in and theres been a very, very nice amount of portable coverage!! I'm talking to the seller about possibly getting every issue off him too (from 1975-1995)

If you're like me then you'll really enjoy little articles like this one:

I'm deciding whether I'll go through the lot and scan all the boombox and tape ads/articles.

There's some EXCELLENT multi page reviews of them too. Which I'm sure we'd all enjoy reading!!

Will post more as I go through them.

Rock On.

That's very cool, Rick!! What a nice find! By the way, according to exchange rate charts, the $665 AUD retail price would have been close to $677 USD.

I'm sure we'd all love to see more if time allows.

Very cool Rick.
Boombox adds, literature and catalogs have been selling for a lot on eBay in the US so I have very little of it.

Hot Score Dude! Looking forward to more. I see post's from time to time with original pricing. I'm always interested to see what these ACTUALLY sold for. That Big Ben went for Big Money back in the day.

According to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) Inflation Calculator http://cost.jsc.nasa.gov/inflateCPI.html $677 from 1982 would be $1325.566 in 2004 (sorry it only goes to 2004)
