geez that’s crazy. Those sobs should go to jail for a really long time. Unfortunately people in power very rarely ever wield it responsibly. This goes for our government too.

The real story is how they destroy American small businesses by allowing artificially cheap shipping from China. When I can get an RCA cable from China for only 99 cents shipped, something's wrong. If Trump had any intelligence, he'd do something about that. Seems like it'd be right up his alley.

The main thing i don't like about ebay is that it encourages greed in a big way and is partly responsible for the prices we see today...people can get x amount for whatever so everybody asks the same or more

It's the archaic Universal Postal Union which the USPS is a part of, and which determines the rates charged for overseas shipments and is based on the country's economic status at the time of participation. Obviously, the world economic order has shifted tremendously since the rates were established and China which is now #2 in the world is ranked like it is some small african 3rd world country, so it gets the benefit of having it's stuff shipped to the USA at a rate below what it actually costs the USPS to process the shipment. In other words, the USPS is subsidizing China to get it's stuff here virtually for free. Trump is way ahead of you Reli, has been complaining about it since before 2016, and as far as I am aware, after threatening to leave the UPU, there is now an agreement for rate increases starting 7/1/2020. Not sure how much benefit or how level the playing field will become but it's fair to say that it's better than nothing.
