didnt want to lengthen this way-too-long thread --

so - briefly --
letting all know that the ebay resolution center reversed the decision which was
at first against me --
but - after a long struggle --they provided a " courtesy " full refund for me today-
------------------------

the bad part is that --this seller has vanished --
so ebay made this 'contribution' from their own funds
( raising their fees ) :sadno:

the seller --SOMEHOW??? did have a tracking number -
so --i believe he got to keep my funds -
although i doubt if he ever shipped my box-
----------------------

lesson learned --
even with the ebay honorable buyer protection -
its always best to buy only from good sellers-
of course - we all know that -

except for aholes that just need to grab those to-good-to-be-true BINS :dunce: :dunce:  :-D

Thanks Ira. For getting my fees raised. Couldn't have done it without you. :annoyed:  :grim: :grim:

Mr. Ira, that reminds me so much of when I shipped a NOS Box of 10 BASF Cassette tapes (all sealed) to a guy in New York, he said he never got 'em!!! (4 months after I had already spent the money he payed me) and then since I had no money in my account, eBay payed him back with their money and took my account away and threatened to send their lawyers against me. All I did was send the cassettes via EMS and take pictures of the whole packing process (even at the Post Office I took pictures and attached them to the Resolution Center page, they didn't care... Til this day I never knew if he actually got the box of cassettes. What he doesn't know is that he has to sign to get the package, and that signed copy has to come back to Venezuela, and when that day comes, eBay will have to give me my account back and say "sorry"... :'-(

SB -- i sure hope that happens for you :angelic:

or else --any buyer from anywhere can tell ebay they never received anything -
and file claims against every seller

My only way to proove that the buyer got the box of 10 sealed BASF's is to have in my hand the signed copy of the EMS receipt... send it to eBay and hopefully get my account back so I can buy and sell... in the meantime all I can do is  as the boomboxes go by...

eBay is scam central. I mean it's just wide open for opportunistic crooks. Sad really . I mean someone needs to come up with a safer auction site . Maybe it would take a little longer to get the item or in the case of a seller the payment but there needs to be changes to the eBay way of doing business.

That is a good ending Ira  . There always will be some shitty scam sellers out there, and nobody is immune against them sadly  .

great to hear Ira :-) Last year I bought 2 batteries off EPay for my camera. This was from a seller in Toronto(same city I live in). After 3 weeks they didn't show up. So I emailed the seller. He mailed me two more. I got a all 4 a month later :-/

:agree: that's very true.
This is why I stay away from these shady auctions.
Zero or low feedback newby sellers offering something substantial at a very low price is a "RED FLAG".

I sold a diamond engagement ring on ebay once, and the buyer, upon successful receipt of the item, claimed one of the small diamonds was missing (it had many small diamonds around a big central zirconia which you would replace for the real deal). Anyway, I simply asked for a picture of the ring to show me the issue, and all of a sudden he never spoke again. I suspect he was trying to rip me off and panicked when I asked for proof.
Be warry my friends!

:agree: Almost definitely a scam. A newbie seller, with a low priced grail, and no other items for sale...and from CALIFORNIA...not looking good for the buyer IMO
