Had the right hand one a few years but they’re so hard to find in the UK. So when a dead one for parts came up I snapped it up. Well it had serious PCB damage with cracks, broken traces and joints, even a bit of board missing. I can fix a boombox pretty well but this needed FIXing so I passed it to my good friend Dave (Docs) who is on a whole other level when it comes to skills. Wasn’t convinced it could be saved but Dave pulled out all the stops and only went and got it 100% again! Lots of hours went into it checking it to the service manual and my other 550 to find out what was missing. Super grateful to Dave for his help on this one. So now I have double Diablo!
