super glue works great on open cuts like that , it was developed by the us army for combat wounds in vietnam.

Ouch!...actually you only need a tiny cut on your scalp and it'll bleed like crazy. My wife is a school first aider and she's seen kids look like their fresh out of 'Carrie' with blood everywhere, dripping down their faces and them screaming cos they think they're gonna bleed to death and then when its cleaned up it'll be a nick half a cm long!
